Symptoms Of Anxiety

The person who is having anxiety may feel the following symptoms; chest pain or discomfort, weak legs, arms and muscles, sore or tight head or neck, nauseated, feeling as if they are going to pass out, excess energy where they cannot relax, allergy problems increased, burning skin on face, neck, ears, scalp or shoulders, or chronic fatigue. Again, each person is different so the symptoms may be different for each person.

Anxiety affects the persons mind as well. Some symptoms of anxiety the individual may be thinking about are; being afraid of everything, feeling as if they are going crazy, feeling trapped in their mind, worried about many things which they cannot control, many feelings of uncertainty, feeling overwhelmed a majority of the time, having nightmares, difficulty in concentration, and obsessive about things which they feel they can control.

With the symptoms of anxiety the individuals’ mood or emotions may change. Some of the signs of this would be; they are always angry, have little patience, many mood swings, everything seems to scare or frighten them, feeling very sad about all things, seeming to be on edge, they cry for no reason, and they will feel they are under pressure all of the time.

As can be seen with the few symptoms listed, these are also symptoms of other issues. It is important for the person experiencing the symptoms of anxiety to explore all avenues when caring for themselves.

Just before the big test, the meeting where you must speak to the staff, the blind date who will be there in ten minutes…you feel hot, then cold, your heart is beating, butterfly’s are flying in the stomach, and you are jittery – these are symptoms of anxiety.

Anxiety is the body’s natural response to the alarm in our body where we feel worried, threatened or in danger. It is unpleasant but not all bad as anxiety is a great motivator for many to solve problems and get through to the next phase of their day. Anxiety affects each and every person in different ways and different parts of the body or mind.

Symptoms of anxiety which can be physically seen on a person could be; twitching, trembling, vomiting, frequent restroom stops, trouble swallowing, dry mouth, irritable bowl syndrome, weight loss, frequent yawning, and a flushed face or throat area. These are just a few of the symptoms of anxiety which can be seen on an individual.
